Breakfast and Lunch Program

Breakfast and lunch is offered through the NYC Office of Food and Nutrition Services (OFNS), through the Department of Education. All students in Pre-K-3 Full-Day through Grade 8 are eligible to receive free lunch at school. We will follow the standard menu provided by the OFNS, with some modifications for our specific needs (i.e: peanut butter and chicken with bones will continue to not be served, meat will not be served on Fridays during Lent, etc.)  A menu will be sent home to families in the weekly on a monthly basis.  Monthly participation in the lunch program is not required - your child may choose the days they wish to eat lunch.

In addition to lunch, free breakfast will also be available to students through OFNS.  Your child can receive breakfast at 7:15 AM if s/he attends Morning Care, or can pick up a "grab and go" breakfast at 7:30 AM.  If you wish your child to receive breakfast, please make sure they arrive at school no later than 7:30 AM.

Students participating in the regular After-School Program are also eligible to receive an after school snack from the OFNS.  Due to the varied schedules and start times of enrichment activities, snacks are not available to students who participate in After School Enrichment.
