Our Grade 2-8 students will be enjoying the donations and selections from the classroom library in our created Book Cafe for our annual Book Tasting events. They will explore new texts, fall in love with different genres, and expose themselves to new authors during this National Reading Month.

School Store is open! Stay cozy and show your school spirit with our winter hats, raglan tees, quarter-zip sweatshirts, and full-zip fleece jackets! Order your 2025 – 2026 St. Joseph’s School – Yorkville Yearbook now: The full-color book will include photos of all classes, Pre-K 3 through Grade 8, plus a candid page for each class. Also, there will be pages for events, activities, after-school clubs, and much more. The yearbook is a great keepsake for years to come.

If you would like to say something wonderful to your child, the teachers, or everyone in your child’s class and school, place an ad in our yearbook. All ads will only be accepted electronically. Please see the memo previously sent home for details. Please submit one ad per email.

The Early Childhood classes will be celebrating the 100th Day of School this Friday with fun and engaging counting activities! From creating 100 Day crowns to counting to 100 with Spider Man, building castles with 100 cups, and even taking 100 steps outside the classroom, it will be a day full of excitement and learning. Stay tuned for pictures and updates from our special day.

Join us on Friday, February 27, from 6:00–8:30 PM for a fun-filled Family Game Night at St. Joseph’s! It is time to put the phones away and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun playing games with your family and friends. This event is for all ages, so bring everyone for an evening full of laughter, connection, and friendly competition.

Dress Down Day (calendar revision)! If you would like your child/ren to dress down 
on Thursday, December 4, please send a $1.00 or more in support of the All for
Books Program. This program, sponsored by Scholastic, will match our monetary
donation with a donation of books to national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping children in need receive books. Thank you for your support

We are so thankful to all of our families for sharing information about our school tours with friends and the community. The final tour this year is on Tuesday, May 21. Our end-of-year Early Childhood Information Session for prospective families is June 17, and June 24 for Grades 1-8. Due to the closing of Mount Carmel-Holy Rosary School, we have created special tours for MCHR families. Please direct families to contact our office.
