Girls Uniform Grades 1 - 8

The school uniform confirms attendance at St. Joseph's School - Yorkville and is a symbol of unity within the school community. It minimizes distractions in the learning process. It is important that the students take pride in their appearance by wearing the complete uniform -- always remembering that by wearing it inside and outside of the classroom and the school students are representing the school. Uniform pieces must be labeled with the child’s name. All school uniform and gym uniform items (with the exception of footwear) must be purchased from Land’s End or Flynn O'Hara based on item and grade level.

White socks and white sneakers, or regular uniform shoes, must be worn.

Required Shoes for the Girls:

Navy blue or black, flat Oxford shoes with or without ties, not more than one inch sole or heel, and the upper of the shoe must cover the top of the foot
Sneaker-type shoes, above-the-ankle shoes, high-top shoes, ballet-type/flat shoes, moccasins, and boots are not permitted
No logos or brand names are permitted on outside of shoe

Gym Uniform for Grades 1 – 8:

All clothing items are from Lands’ End and have the school logo. The regulation shoe is a plain, WHITE sneaker with a white sole or non-marking sole and white shoelaces. White sneakers without a logo are preferred. Understanding that trademark logos are on most sneakers, the logo must be minimal. Furthermore, the sneakers are to be all white other than the actual logo. Above-the-ankle and high-top sneakers are not permitted. The Principal reserves the right to reject sneakers if they do not meet requirements.
